In today's world eating out has become one of the family ritual. You can at any time find hoards of people standing outside the restaurants. The scene has almost become pathetic. Now-a-days i find eating at home pleasant rather in restaurants.
I can hardly pick out the instances where we went to restaurants before i came across my aathukarar. Since i grew up with my grandparents, i hardly got an opportunity to eat in a restaurant. (lost my mom when i was 2.5yrs) . So they insist on home-cooked food even if it is rasam saatham.
I always had curd rice so with me they didnt have any problem.
But i should mention this udipi hotel rite behind our house. They used to serve this lip-smacking vada and sambar. We used to jump the wall behind our house and go into the side-path of the restaurant.
Every 2-3 times a week we would go and get 2 vadais but used to take a big paathiram for sambar. That days no plastic covers and hell lot of sambar they would give for just 2 vadais and certainly not 2 karandi of sambar neatly put in a polythene cover enough to hold only safety pins which they given in saravana bhavan now-a-days. And since it was an udipi hotel the sambar would taste like sure honey.
They also used to have this halwa in the evenings and i just love this carrot halwa and the poosanikka halwaa. Though other sweets would be yukkkk.
The few instances where i went outside ....
1. The one small cafe where they serve those cute little samosas with sauce. My uncle whenever he is in town would take me there. Once after finishing a drawing competition in D.A.V royapettah i was waiting for someone to pick-me up. He came there and i was very much happy (cos he is my favourite) And we went to that cafe in the light drizzle.
2. With another uncle to this saravana bhavan fast foods.. since i have never been to the restaurants i didnt know what to order. so i followed my cousins who were much younger to me. They ordered for bhel-puris and other chat items. That time we didnt have much of traffic in pillar, so we had our food in the car.
3. Same Saravana Bhavan but T.nagar, with our long time friend's family. This was on my 10th b'day. I was standing outside our gate just parakku paathufying and they were just passing by. Actually they are a family of four - Husband, wife and their two sons. So when they learnt that it was my b'day they wanted to take me with them. That day also they ordered on behalf of me. That was the first day i had this chola batura.
But now i would say intha hotel saappade vendam. Cos right from the time i was into articleship we had enough of it. Enga audit ponalum they would offer food to you. And like kancha maadu kambula pona maathiri we would experiment daily with our menus. Instead of auditing, we would look the vouchers for any of the food bills and decide our menus based on that.
In that process we were able to taste food from almost all the hotels in the city. Some good, some worst..
And also since we went to this sriperumbudur for audit we were also able to taste those factory canteen food. God, it was too good. Athuvum after working for some 5 hrs continuously when you get to eat full meals , vera ethuvume sorgama thonaathu.
Antha audit experience llam thani katha i would post elaborately later on that.
Ippo my son is also sick of restaurants since i over-dosed him with HSB which is rite parallel to our home. Ippollam antha HSB sambar smell pannale ore komattarthu.
So always, home food is the besttt. Ippovavathuu thirunthineengale nnu enga paatti solrathu kaathula kettunde irukku.....

Looking Back.....
Now i look back to my post http://oreponnu.blogspot.com/2008/01/juggling-mind-temper.html
Though i didnt do anything considerably , i would say i had my hands full. Atleast, i got into a bit of discilplined life. Since my son was put into his first year of real schooling (cant, take pre-schooling as real thing) i developed this habit of getting early. Hardly i have seen handful of sunrises... Iam always a night-bird. Even during my school days, i prefer staying awake in the night and doing things.. Whether it is studying, writing or watching tv or listening to music...(not to forget chatting over phone with my then bf now aathukarar ;) ).
Now iam also going regularly to office...not to mention my aathukarar's consistent nagging about punctuality, responsibilty and seriousness...
Iam thinking of refreshing my driving skills. Ippa enakku break, accelerator and clutch kku mattum konjam confusion. Rest i can manage.... ;) (i have license also u see).
Oru periya vishayam naan panninathu intha 2008 la ennanna i didnt indulge in vambu with any of the family members especially with in-laws. Rombavum chamaththu ponna irunthutten. Yaar enna sonnalum just boom-boom maadu maathiri thalaya attittu (without giving comments.. athu rombavum kashtam that too with my Ms.X who will kindify your mouth untill she gets wat she was expecting..) and athavida romba mukkiyum engeyum atha pass pannama irunthathuthaan.
Met all my friends (lost friends) through orkut. Some of them too thrilled to know that i married my one and only and long time bf. "Hey nee avaneyava kalyanam panninta?!! Hey great diii! Apparam eppadi di manage pannina also to study this CA amongst ur other activities????!!!!!!!! By other activities they mean is love.......
Anyways i dont have this habit of taking resolutions. Athellam just utter waste that too waiting for new year to take resolutions is absurd. (my point of view).
Let me look forward for this new year ...
Strange thing is i wud look for both new year and another additional year at the same time every year.

Sweet Neighbour!!! grrrrr....
So far I have been blessed as far as the neighbours are concerned, but this time i would say iam cursed to the core.
We live in the first floor as one among the four tenants of an independent house. All four of them are four corners of a trapezium i would say.
The family of four who live just opposite to us form the crux of rest of this post.
Lets call them Mr.X, Mrs.X , son-1x and son -2x.
I wonder what on earth does this Mr.X for their living. Always he would be at home and their daily routine starts at 5.30 am. They would play the devotional cassette with max volume like some road-side mariamman temple. Then Mrs.X would come outside and sweep outside their door while all the way arranging our slippers in front of our door like some display...(someday i think iam going to blast her for this). Then their pet stray cats(pls note down not 1 or 2 cats but a whole bunch of cats though they follow the discipline of coming one after the other) would come and wait near our door cosily sitting on the slippers and shoes neatly arranged by Mrs.X.
I dread going out and picking the milk cover in the morning. Those green emerald eyes of the cats would shine in the dark. Somehow, they send fresh chills throughout the spine. So, I always beg my aathukarar to go and get those milk packets.
Coming to son1x , he is doing eng in some, stand alone on the highway, engineering college. The moment he sees my head, he would rush into his home and bang the door, as if iam going to rape him. God, he is such a creek. Once when i was standing outside to send off my son and aathukarar , the said creek was returning from outside. The moment he saw us, he didn't even enter the house but started to go on the opposite direction and was wandering in the roads. So even i stood there deliberately to see how long he would be hanging on. But, man u should give credit to the boy for carrying on and holding ultimately. Finally, fed up i climbed back. He would run like a new-bride with his head bent down as if running he is running for his life the instant he comes in contact with any of us.
Nothing much to say about son2x. He is a nice boy as far as i know but certainly a far cry from the creep.
Our house-owners are an aged-couple. They are bit cranky and nosy too. They are of the previous generations who would like to maintain and state now and then that they are the owners of this prestigious red fort building.... Though i respect them for their age nothing out of my way i wud do to please them. But u have to see this Mr & Mrs.X . They would literally fall on their feet and would start nodding their head the moment they enter the house. Sometimes i wonder may be after the departure of the house-owners should i help them with some vicks action 500 and iodex...(oohhh...aaaaaahhhhh.... ouch...)
Then comes their maruthi swift... to park the vehicle and to put the cover always Mr.X needs an escort. And the way they pamper the swift, even i would be considered a bad mother. Pavement la irunthu ella blocks um onnu onna eduthu tyre kku adila veppanga. Hmm illenna vandi odi poidume. Then a big akbar kalathu poottu for the gate. Okay this is for the swift. Now to their cycles... Oru periya alibaba kalathu poottu with a changili.. Athukku mela oru car cover. Dont think their cycles are outside the house. But it is all the way protected under the stairs with a big grill gate and that too with 2 locks.
And all the way enga santro road la yum and our two two-wheelers compoundkku ulleyum anathayaa engala paathu aluthunde irukkum...... pesama Mr.X familykku vaakkapattu irukkalaamnu nenachindu irukkum.
Heard that they are going to vacate the house by april of 2009.
Hmmm....... or should i believe known devil is better than unknown angel.....

Birthday Parties.....Especially First B'day
Somehow all these parties make me sick. Paavam antha 1yr old. The parents eager to show off their cute ones thrust them with all the delicate dresses fully unaware of the childs restlessness. The child would be more uncomfortable in those dresses , no matter how much money you put them into.
And needless to say about the jewels... God,, you are making the child more vulnerable by putting all those hanky panky items to showcase wealth....Your party in a strange place is more of a welcome note to all those miscreants....
Today also i have one more party to attend which i dont really feel like going... Thinking of all the excuses in the world...

PLEASE WEAR HELMETS............
I am restless from yesterday night....That too after witnessing the tragedy iam unable to even close my eyes.
Yesterday after taking my grandmother to doctor we dropped her back home and thought of having a look at NEXT showroom which is in 4th avenue. The road as such is not a wide one and though its a double way road with a divider running along its not of much width. Since the showroom's lights were off , we returned.
Just then , a man in the car ahead of signalled that there was no way. And all i was able to see was a stranded MTC bus. So as usual a break-down was my first thought. But , the vehicles started moving inch-by-inch.
Appothan i noticed that there had been an accident and a man was lying in the road. I wudnt say it was the middle of the road but at the sides. People were staring at him but none were helping him. So i asked my aathukarar to park the vehicle and go and help him. I was at the back seat and my kid at the front seat. But he told me to be quiet and distract my kid from seeing there. I didnt quite understand and while distracting saw through the window.
My GOD!!!!!! It was horrible. Please don't take it as absurd or think me ascruel-minded or something but i thought people should know what i saw. I could see the brain popping out of the skull. I immediately turned and was shell- shocked........
Everything would have happened within-minutes between the time we took U-turn and came this side. 'Cos on the onward there was no chaos....
At the very moment my thoughts went for his family who would be waiting for his arrival. There might be a son/daughter who would be eagerly waiting for the snacks/chocolates. A wife waiting to have dinner with him. A mother restless as the clock ticks off... He was wearing a T-shirt. May be he would have come home, changed his clothes, then would have been heading for some shops...How can his family take this news. So many plans would have been made centering him.
All their dreams shattered within few minutes....
My appeal to all those who hang their helmets as if its a show-piece and the hunky guys who consider it a sin and also the so-called professionals who consider it old-fashioned. (incl my aathukarar)..- Please think of your family and the near-dear ones and try to be preventive. Though not a mistake of yours its important to protect one from others mistakes....
That man could have very well escaped this tragedy if he was wearing that old-fashioned protective covering.......
I have made up my mind to insist on people i know to wear the helmets while on 2-wheeler and seat belts while on 4-wheeler. And i have also started constructively..

Christmas Holidays............
Atlast , the christmas holidays have begun for my son. His school had let them loose early so that they can go on smoothly with the admission process with all the rejected applications from PSBB and all other so-called top rated schools. They want to bank the frustration among parents who were not able to make it up to the PSBB but somehow wanted to associate with the name - (atleast).......
Without our so-called TV not yet replaced, its very difficult to manage my son who is all the more demanding. ITS INDEED TAXING..... He wants me to color with him, do joining the dots, make shapes out of clay, read and tell stories...... Its fun ofcourse, but with both cooking and my grandmother who's all the more sick its getting all the more difficult.
Literally counting the days..........

Career story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nee enna aaga pora? This would have been the question encountered by all kids whenever there are relatives/friends visit not to mention about the over-enthusiastic parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My answer was always not the same one and it underwent change periodically.
First like anyother kid it was doctor, then a little later after prolonged goddess worship of my class teacher of 4th std "chithra miss" it was teacher for a long time.....
Since i grew up with my grandparents, the impact of my grandpa who was into construction made me to think on the lines of civil engineering.
But soon i changed my mind after reading chemistry and physics......respectively of 7th and 9th std... I can never remember those atomic weights , numbers and the equations and the reactions etc....Physics - On the other way was more weird for me.... Though i was more interested with the biology and was at ease drawing and remembering the biological names the phobia for snakes restricted me to proceed in that direction. (Still i have the phobia - in particular i cant stand the very sight of this cobra in its dancing form, be it both in print as well in visual medium. So my aathukarar would scan the newspapers before i read them and tear the pages and if it comes in the movies he changes the channel ). It was at this stage i decided to go against the so-called craze among the students--engineering..
So i was left with no other option other than to join the commerce stream.....There was also this friend of mine who put the thought hard into my head that a chartered accountant earns big bucks............
Aso, learning new subjects gave me enough enthusiasm.......
So here iam a chartered accountant working part-time.
Long time ago i decided against asking my kid the same question. But once when a friend of mine asked him the question - his answer was - naan oru fire-man aagaporen.
P.S - the previous week i had taught him about the community helpers.....

Karthigai Deepam
Today was like any other ordinary day.. Nothing to do much. My aathukaarar is not in town, so didn't feel like doing anything. Athukkaga avar irunthaa mattum ethuvum pannamaatten...( He is relieved from the so-called bakshanam pack from Sri krishna sweets).
All those packs are marketing gimmicks with age-old seedai and murukku and so called neivedhyam items packed long before. All new-x - gen ladies like me (simply called somberis) buy those things and pretend to celebrate the festivals. From deepavali onwards i realised that nothing can beat the home-prepared payasam and vadai and kesari and all stuffs . The preparation , well begins the previous day with downloaded and cook-book recipes. Choosing the best and convenient among them. So far everything turned out good except for the kesari which i tried for nonbu... Never mind can always improve as long as my aathukarar is there for experimentation. Paavam manushan , never he complains....Vera vazhi illa athu vera vishayam..
Now Grand sweets also jumped into the wagon - pre-packed bakshanam specials.. Havent tried yet.....
Todays karthigai was celebrated cave man way with bananaas and apples...........

Procrastination
Its Procrastination which is my biggest trait. Iam supposed to complete a job given by my boss last week, of which only 75% is pending. Whenever i open this document to work on it i just hop on to the blogs i know and keep on reading. In other words, i do blog hopping......
Maybe if it was a strict boss i would have completed in time or if i do on-site job i would have been done with it.
The main reason is my aathukarar who happens to be my boss - its his mistake of not being strict with me. He believes whatever reason i tell him. Hmmm iam not in any way responsible.

Anna Flyover........
Anna Flyover had been synonomus to chennai for a long time.
You cannot imagine a film showing chennai without zooming the immortal Anna Flyover...
Be it, a traffic jam or a chasing scene where an innocent is being chased by a ferocious villian or our own police officer (sarath kumar, vijayakanth) chasing the deadly villian after he has killed our one of the top brass, Anna flyover can never be dispensed with.
And this famous landmark also holds some of my most cherished memories as well nightmares.
Be it the first time as far as i could remember on that bridge or the most recent with my kid who always loves the flyovers and this one being his prime one , i always enjoy the scenic view it offers.I can very well hear people saying "What the hell does it offers other than the traffic snarl both at the nungambakkam high road and church park junction?" But still each time iam delighted when i climb up the flyover.
My first trip over the flyover etched in my memory was to the Marina with some relative. I used to look from the windows of our own pallavan , the rani seethai hall with all the signboards of manmark kudai and the statue at the MG road with wide eyes.
Since, i follow the roads and the routes clearly i was declared the official guide to all our relatives who would like to have a visit to the Marina.
As a child, i always had this confusion of return from Marina to T.Nagar via this Anna flyover. We would go thro GN Chetty road but the return has to be taken thro the "O" to re-enter while coming back. This is where i always end up confused and in turn would confuse the drivers.
Namakkuthaan chennaiyin official guidennu nenappache, so vazhi theriyathunnu othukka manasu varathu.... So i would keep quiet and would silently pray while he goes thro the Anna Salai. Oru nambikka thaan enga ponalum intha road kadaiseela saidapet vanthudumnu theriyum. So when i finally came across the teynampet junction i was much relieved.
Then only did i understand that both GN chetty road and Anna Salai run like ">" - this symbol.
Next, the important point in all the students life - board exams - 10th as well 12th. Since my centre was DAV girls school on both the occasions i had to go only thro our beloved fly over every time. Though i would be tensed and busy reading on the way (appothane rombavum sincerea padippom - to put a scene) , i would actually enjoy the view over the flyover those few minutes of crossing them. Ennada few minutes solrale nnu paarkapadathu. Iam talking of 96 - 99 . So antha period at 8.15am in the morning you can just like that cross the flyover.
Then comes the turning point. Always i used to wonder while travelling on the flyover from t.ngr towards Mount Road - intha leftla oru road porathe ithu enna road ah irukkum - i mean the road below the flyover i.e MG road. I have never been to the road till that time.
But, little did i realise that my entire career would be based on that buildings located on the road. Buildings nnu en mean pannenna cos both Income tax and the Institute of CA suthisuthithaan ennoda pozhappe. So rite after my 12th foundation nnu onnu join panrathukkuthaan i stepped into the MG Road. Hmmm oru nimisham antha statue lernthu avar enna thirumbi paathamaathiri irukku..bramayo.
Today, my kid always compels my athukkarar to go on that flyover.. So even if we are to visit Citicentre we are compelled to take the flyover and take the right where UII stands and then go to Radhakrishnan salai via Gopalapuram boys high school.

Appada no TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
Though we are used to two hours of powercut daily a privilege which Tamilnadu alone offers, a full 24 hrs of power-cut is much more different. It was a relatively new experience.
My boy was little shaken bcos he literally starts and ends his day with modern curse chutti TV. Thanks to me, who introduced him to dora which people said was very informative.... Slowly his viewership spread to jackie chan, He-man , godzilla and all the other dubbed versions borrowed from other channels.....In this aspect i feel pogo is much better with the variety it offers (no offence intended between tamil and english). Iam concerned about the violence being shown in chutti TV in the name of cartoons..(barring few). Ithula Jetix rombaaa advanced with various versions of power rangers (aracha maave thirumba thirumba araikkiranga).
Seri Seri, innaikki enna pannenna - uruppadiya romba nalaikku apparam Dora illama suppandi thonaiyoda satham oottinen...Did some joining the dots and puzzles and colouring with my kid. During my childhood, i would wait for youngworld to do the colouring and the siruvar malar for the kids corner containing joining the dots. Took old magic pots and tinkle and read for him.....
Then at 4'0 clock the power came. Bt our precious old version ONIDA (ennoda aathukararoda porantha veettu seetham ) "grgrgrnnu " "enna konjam rest edukka ONIDA parlour anuppungappa nnu sollama sollidichu" .
So another 48 hours would pass before anything constructive can be done.. (enna ennoda athukkarar out of station)
Constructive - appadinna puthu TV nnu neenga eduthunda naan poruppu illa (Enna irunthalum appo iruntha TV yoda quality ippo entha TV yum varathu - enga aathukkararoda dialogue whenever i ask him to change this)
PS - Enga ONIDA voda vayasu 15yrs aakkum

Legend in his own way - Shri.NAGESH
Awesome performance. Wonderful timing sense. Beautiful dialogue delivery
These are the words uttered usually when u describe an artist and especially when u describe an actor of great calibre like NAGESH. But i dont know the meaning of any of those written above. Those are cine-circle languages.
One thing i would know for sure is I love this man from my childhood. Simply i just cannot take my eyes of him when he is in the screen. It doesn't matter to me with which hero he plays or what role he plays. He is at ease in all the characters he play.
Yesterday, I happened to see SERVER SUNDARAM in SUN TV. God!!!!!!!!! Incredible he is. No other person could have played it so easily. Somehow I get attracted to the character he plays. It can either be a comedian, hero or character role or the role with negative shades.
I just love all of his films but the one that comes to my mind right now - Ethirneechel, Bama vijayam, Iru kodugal, server sundaram, Galatta kalyanam. The list is not exhaustive though i dont remember the names exactly.
And not to forget the screenplay of those days. They are picture perfect and dont loosely hung with loopholes. To be more specific i was dumbstruck seeing the movie SERVER SUNDARAM and the way each scene was dealt. There was clearly a thread woven for each and every scene.
Example from the movie
Nagesh's friend takes him to a production company for the chance. There when everyone teases he suddenly goes wild and acts mad. Then they realise that it was part of acting and praise him. One of the producer gives him advance for his next movie and when the other offers him , he cooly walks off asking him to meet him at his home.
If it was today's movie the scene would abruptly end there as if it was an hilarious scene. But when u look in the movie, the next scene begins like this....
Nagesh would be praying god to give him level-minded head so that he remains as he is now.At that time the friend comes home and would complain him of his behaviour towards the end at the production house. And the way he adjusted everything with the producer.
This sequence was utilised optimally for the next incident to follow.
Now, coming back to nagesh. I just can't stop raving about him even if he plays the bad guy in the movies like " Apoorva Sahodarargal, Cheran pandian and so".
His talent is not aptly recognised and not to mention about the awards.....
Even my kid rejoices his movies...............
I think that is the award which he has won.

Samaiyal
Man.......... Look at the transformation. Is this the girl who knew nothing but only to prepare buttermilk that too with loads of salt?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before marriage
I have given lots of anxious moments to my grandmother in the kitchen. Though she complains that i never would do things on my own she actually never gave any chance. i was the apple of her eye.
1. I would actually wonder how these ladies are boiling milk and how they would know that it had come to the saturation point. This was mainly because my grandmother was using the "pal cooker" and it would give the whistle sound - an old model in which we have to pour water removing the cover of the whistle. Then she would ask me to reduce the flame. I would wonder how does on earth she knows when to switch it off. but would never dare to ask her because then if i was to learn it means i have to do and give it a try. Kitchen was a place for me to take my plate and wash my hands.
2. Then the next best thing was the rice. She had a small paaththiram in which she would cook 1 cup of rice for both of us. Actually this sort of samaiyal was only after the death of my grandpa. Previously it was a joint family and the samaiyal on the whole would be for not less than 20 people per session. This excludes the number of the guests which my uncle, grandpa and i would bring very often without notice.
One day all of a sudden she was sick and was hospitalised. Then after recovery she didnt want to be a burden for her daughter-in-laws who gave rasam and rice for 3 days. so she asked me to keep the rice in the cooker. She gave me all the instructions properly but not the most important one.
Bang.................... went the cooker touching the ceiling and missing me by few seconds. I was asked several questions but i replied everything with utmost confidence.
Atlast we discovered that i hadnot kept water in the cooker for the vessel to float????????????????????????????
After marriage
Now I can prepare a whole of feast even for a gathering of 10 -20 people. Thanks to LIFCO samaiyal puthagam and not to leave the internet.
She is dumbstuck with my transformation and lavishly praises to all my relatives about my culinary skills though not even once she admitted it to me.
This time the kara adai and the vella adai was perfect to the T. And i would give full 10/10. But the rava kesari was a tragedy this time.
Though my hubby never complains he enthusiastically would go a bit farther by eating and relishes each and every dish i make.
Though i can cook all items with little help from cook book my trademark is
1. Filter coffee
2. Samabar - both ordinary and arachuvittathu
3. Paruppu usili
4. Potato fry
5. vetha kuzhambu
6. Not the least payasam
Always this would be my menu if someone comes to my house. So if anyone is to visit my home my in-laws are so sure of the menu that they would surprise the guests with the name of the items served.
I have taken a oath to change the menu atleast for the next get-to-together.

Gooseberry alais nellikkai
The very word Gooseberry alais "nellikkai " in tamil kindled all my childhood memories not to be mentioned rather sweet ones.
The other day i was teachin my pre-school kid all the fruits both orally as well visually through CD ROM of fruit rhymes. Rather i should say i was educating myself all the english acronyms of the fruits which i hadn't heard of.
Fine, now back to our topic. We moved to our new house which is surrounded by whole bunch of trees which includes mango, gooseberry , guava, plantain and not to leave behind cocunut.
My kid was asking the name of the trees and i was very ashamed to tell him those rather lettin him to discover on his own. Then, there aroused my memories of how independent i was and playful which is very much not at all provided to this generation kids.
I grew up in the locality of independent houses where the apartments were not so much heard of though in the heart of the city that too near the shopping paradise of T.Nagar. We, the children would never be at home in the evenings and should i mention anything about the holidays? There was one this house a not so huge one but well surrounded by trees of which the nellikkai maram would occupy considerable space. The inmates of the house were so sweet that they would never close their gate and would never mind us play there. We would climb the trees and would have the nellikkai and play all sort of games over there which are not at all heard now-a-days.
We would sit on the tree and chat for hours together and u bet we wud get the salt and chilli mixture from the aunty of the house itself. All the boys and girls together would be around 10 and we would play ; paandi, dog and the bone , Nondi, help, lock and key, Thayam, pallankuzhi . All these games we would play with loud screams and laughter, and not even once that aunty had ever scolded us. She would also give us water to drink though our houses were the opposite ones.
I dont remember her face or name but we would address her as uthra aunty since there was a baby called uthra there.
Imagine now for putting my boy to sleep, i close all the windows, doors, and switch off my mobile and lower the volume of telephone.
HAS TIME CHANGED OR WE PEOPLE HAVE CHANGED.
Wish i would try being like uthra aunty.

If tomorrow comes
I remember reading this novel some 13 years back.During my earlier stint it was just the rush to read a thriller and knowing the end of the story. Again i got a chance of going through it. Though it is a typical tamil movie story, some of the contents are thought provoking. The basic story is of revenge by the girl who is dumped by few men and how she then manages to take it back to the society which just almost buried her. I found lot of logic missing when i read it again.
Fine. Let me first put the positive points together.
1. How the girl i.e the central character maintains her dignity and self-respect when she goes to meet her in-laws at the very beginning of the story, though she wants to impress them.
2. The way she changes herself in the prison with all those mental strength and poise. Particularly this was the most wonderful part of the story. i.e Fighting back the most difficult encounter with a focussed mind and the positive approach from no point of return.Never give-up is the central theme of this part.
The rest of the part are so cinematic and you can see them in all Rajini movies and especially "SIVAJI"
P.S - I have a great doubt whether shankar is an ardent fan of Sidney Sheldon. Somehow i feel that the movie plots are more or less based on his novel.

MY SCHOOL
Today went to my school where i wandered, learnt so many things apart from studies. Just thoughts kept on pouring from the moment i stepped in to the school. My God!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole wing which i studied had vanished and the school ground which would talk about so many fights, crushes and girlie gossips, pains and vains , fear and the celebrations and what not could not be found. I would always boast of our schools prayer and the assembly in the morning. Gosh only the stage is the which is left there with huge buildings. My heart sank like the titanic.
I would rather say and even boast that nobody would have enjoyed their what is called their 'TEENS" like we friends did. Though it was a girls gang, the fun we enjoyed was unlimited. We would just go to school every morning with one adventure which we would like to share with our freinds. Even the whole pathway i.e the route from home to school was like an adventure.
The nicknames which we would keep for the boys were the most annoying ones. the derivation of such nickname was most fascinating.
Though we were the most nottiest gang we kept people at their feet with our marks. people around us and all the studious ones would wonder whether we would be sleeping and moving with our books in hand once we reach home. Man! That was a fantastic life.............
Little did I realise when our teachers said that school life was the best and utilise the most..........
IF I GET ONE MORE CHANCE I WOULD SURE LIKE TO LIVE THE LIFE ONCE AGAIN WITH THE SAME SET OF FRIENDS... ITS A TREASURE FOR ME TO CHERISH ALL ALONG
