Time we would take to pronounce these words would be less than 2 seconds , i suppose. But, i dont know why people hesitate so much in saying a simple word " Thanks".
Actually, a story which i read during my school days inspired me to thank everyone. Be it milkman, sweeper ,the provision store boy ,your manager , even your child or mother for that matter. The crux of the story is that though you pay for the service rendered the simple act of thanking would mean a lot to the other person. From, then onwards i started thanking people and i was able to see a lot of change in their attitude thereafter. Enakku kaariyam aaganumngarthukkaga thanks sollala.
Once, i remember i went to coffee day in isphani centre with my friend and we ordered cold coffee there. When the waiter came and served us i merely said thanks with a smile. My friend immediately asked " hey avanukku ethukku thanks sollra, avan enna unakku free ah va coffee kodukka poraaan"? I replied, "Avan enakku free ah kodukkarano illayo, enakku eduthundu vanthu tharaan illa, athukku iam thanking him nnu sonnen, sonnathaala naan onnum koranju poidalaye"
I think we should cultivate this habit from an early age. And you should see their faces when u utter these words. Innaikku i got banana from a thallu vandi, i just said thanks , avvalavuthaan she became emotional and started asking me about my whereabouts. I was so moved by her act.
P.S - Intha post la "thanks" evvalavu thadavai nnu correct ah solravangalukku oru "star" (the way i bribe P")
