Bucket list

Of late i have been striking off the items listed in my wish list one by one :) I didnt know i had been secretly wishing for these things till i started thinking about them in succession.

I was always self sufficient from my childhood. As only child and growing with grandparents i learnt to entertain my self in many innovative ways. One of my main passtime was parakku paathufying. I used to sit on the compound wall and parakku paathufy and once fell down and had a fracture too. We had this nithya malli chedi which was spread over the arch like grill over our entrance. Everyday i used to wear this mallipoo to school. Ippo both P and Pa donot allow me to wear poo at all. Of late, i started ignoring them and wear this mullai and malli :) And no, i was not reminiscing that. Athu oru kutty story in between my main article. Its not like the kutty story which is trending...... Somehow, i dont like to open instagram and twitter now a days as the standard has gone so down. The cult mentality and ignorance of these people worry me so much. Iam not talking of common people but of my students - all in the range of 11th and 12th. When we were children also there was this hero worship between Kamal and Rajini and in my teens between same Vijay and Ajith. But, we didnt stoop this low nor we blindly support and justify everything. Even the so called political party members didnt behave like this. I feel so sad when i see these kids like this. This is nothing but another version of seeing your contemporary Modi bhakts who refuse to think.

Now, coming back - after reaching certain age climbing the wall has to be dispensed and the balcony and terrace became my sanctuary. I loved watching people and imagining their stories and also when in terrace loved gazing at the sky. (it was also a chaakku to sight adichify aathu who was my neighbour ;) ). What i was trying to say was - I love nature basically - especially beach and mountains. I have never been to mountains before marriage. Beach - briefly after marriage we were in triplicane and everyday when i was carrying P used to go to beach. But later, shifted to the interiors so missed it and never in my wildest imagination have thought about settling in besant nagar. It was not even in our list as we felt it was too posh and would be way out of our reach. But, ummachi had other plans. We had to move to Besant nagar without choice. Even though i dont go to beach daily, for the past year we go there around 9 and stay till 11.30. And its again a bliss to just sit , have that ghee podi idly from the pavement shop and listen to my Amazon music.

Next, is oonjal. Its my childhood dream, ambition and everything. Iam somehow so much crazy of this even today. Now, we have shifted to a house which has this comtemporary oonjal and god how i love it.
When we were looking for houses, we came to visit this said house and the moment me, P and Pa stepped inside P saw this oonjal and said Amma u love it right, shall we say yes even before fully seeing the house. It feels so good when Aathu and ur children know u so well and do things for u. I always feel kadavul wanted to compensate me for taking away my mom so early and not giving me a normal childhood with father and mother. Thats why he gave me wonderful aathu and understanding children who just take care of you. Even when we travel they take care of me so much. But, athu travel panrache and veliya irukkum bothu mattum thaan. Once we hit home ground vethaalam marubadiyum murungai maram thaan.

The next thing - live in concert. I always wanted to attend some music concert. When i learnt about Illayarajas concert, i asked P to book tickets. He refused saying the organiser was not good and it might not be good. After continuously nacharuchifying he finally relented saying its a chance. And i was so excited for the d-day. Even though i couldnt say it was the best and it had its flaws still i enjoyed it very much.

One more is the stand up comedy show- :) My insta feed showed me Saikiran was performing. Of all the standup comedians i like him so much. He has this way of expressionless deadpan comic sense. And he never makes jokes on his audience and very decent. And the venue was also very good though we had to travel for 1 hour.

Though i hadnt realised i had all these desires, when it becomes a reality it helps you to think of the things which i have been fortunate enough to enjoy. I have read somewhere when we practice gratitude good things start getting attracted. So, i thought why not be grateful for all the good things that have happening unconsciously or consciously.
